Inside the Throne Hall, you’ll find three royal thrones. One with Western influence. And, two in traditional Khmer style. Along with golden busts representing Cambodian monarchs from the reign of King Ang Doung onward.
The public eastern courtyard of the modern palace includes key elements like the Throne Hall. This is where kings are crowned and foreign ambassadors are received. The Napoleon Pavilion is now a museum. The Phochani Pavilion is a banqueting hall. And, the Chan Chhaya or Moonlight Pavilion is used for state banquets and dance performances.
